Who needs the gym when this week’s new releases can get audiences moving? The hard decision lies in choosing what to run toward: wealth, truth or all-out fun.
“Nerve”
See a new, sinister, spin on “Truth or Dare?” when Vee (Emma Roberts) and Ian (Dave Franco) become players of an app in which audiences challenge them to do tasks that give them fame or give them death. The latest film from directing duo Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman is certainly a different beast in narrative and execution from their “Paranormal Activity” outings. Based on the novel by Jeanne Ryan.
“Jason Bourne”
The CIA’s finest weapon has discovered who he is, but there are still more secrets to uncover. Matt Damon and director Paul Greengrass team up again after letting the franchise rest for nine years. The fifth installment boasts Oscar winner Alicia Vikander, a grand car chase down Las Vegas Strip and, hopefully, a story that transcends Greengrass’s joking title “The Bourne Redundancy.”
“Bad Moms”
Being a mother can be daunting, so why not let loose? Have no fear, the writers of “The Hangover” series will show you how with the wild antics of a motherhood trio (Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell and Kathryn Hahn). There won’t be any apologies for crude jokes and the ensuing chaos!
Let us know what you will be seeing, and stay tuned for the next Reel Mood of the Week!
