The characters in this week’s films will defy what they have been told to do. Take a look and pick a beyond-the-law adventure!
“Storks”
Storks don’t deliver babies anymore, but a series of events led to one appearing in the factory where Junior (Andy Samberg) works. Always wanting to impress his boss, Junior will do everything to get the baby home — even if that means facing the elements, cooperating with “corporate nuisance,” Tulip (Katie Crown), and evading pursuers. Directed by the man who brought you “Neighbors,” and from the team behind “The Lego Movie,” get ready for a relentless and laugh-filled ride.

“The Magnificent Seven”
Industrialist Bartholomew Bogue (Peter Sarsgaard) has taken over the town of Rose Creek and drenched it in corruption. The only way out is to seek the Seven—bounty hunter Sam Chisolm (Denzel Washington), gambler Josh Faraday (Chris Pratt), sharpshooter Goodnight Robicheaux (Ethan Hawke), tracker Jack Horne (Vincent D’Onofrio), assassin Billy Rocks (Byung-hun Lee), outlaw Vasquez (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo) and Comanche warrior Red Harvest (Martin Sensmeier). After a not-quite-as-expected summer, Sony Pictures is in need of a hit—this film has the ingredients to be one.
Limited Attention: “The Age of Shadows”
(Showings only available at AMC Studio 30)
South Korea’s official submission to the forthcoming 89th Academy Awards follows a group of resistance fighters trying to free their country from Japan’s grips. The film will be Warner Bros.’ first time backing and distributing a Korean-language production. It has been getting rave reviews as well.
