Following the deadly flooding in Kerrville, Texas, that has taken the lives of over 100 people, support has been pouring in from all over the state and country.

With some individuals still missing, many volunteers and rescuers are helping to sift through the debris and find the remaining victims.

Local officials, however, are asking people to wait until all remaining victims are found before they come down to help.

Alternatively, here is a list of organizations you can donate to who are on the ground in the area.

Kerr County Flood Relief Fund

According to their website, the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund intends to support urgent relief as well as long-term rebuilding.

They will distribute the funds they collect to trustworthy organizations who will help the affected communities such as Boerne, Hunt, Ingram, Kerrville, Center Point and Comfort.

You can donate to the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund on their website. It has raised over $30 million to date.

Samaritan’s Purse

Franklin Graham’s evangelical Christian non-profit organization has their boots on the ground in Kerrville, helping physically and spiritually.

Samaritan’s Purse has multiple teams helping with different types of aid.

They sent chaplains to provide spiritual care to families and volunteers to assist in getting the flooded homes contractor-ready, removing the furniture and drywall and getting rid of any mold inside the homes.

Samaritan’s purse is accepting online donations and looking for volunteers

Kerrville Bible Church is serving as the host church, allowing volunteers to stay and park their trailers and vehicles, including kitchen trailers, on the property. Kerrville Bible Church has also set up its own flood fund for people who want to donate

Samaritan’s Purse has also set up a second relief site in San Angelo, Texas where they are being hosted by PaulAnn Baptist Church.

TEXSAR

TEXSAR is a statewide nonprofit organization with professional volunteers.

They have provided the community with K9 teams and drones to help with the search-and-rescue efforts.

Unfortunately, the harsh working environment has caused wear and tear on their equipment. Volunteers have had to adjust, but they are accepting online donations to help ensure their teams are able to continue aiding the impacted communities.

Daily updates about their progress can be found on their website.

KSBJ

Houston-based, Christian radio station KSBJ has partnered with the God’s Pit Crew ministry to provide onsite aid and relief supplies. Donations to God’s Pit Crew will help them provide supplies and relief to these communities.

You can also help by contributing to the Blessing Buckets, an Amazon wishlist curated by KSBJ. The list is filled with food items, water, first aid kits, hygiene supplies and more. These will be included in these Blessing Buckets they plan to deliver to Kerr County and the surrounding communities.

Kerrville Pets Alive

Kerrville Pets Alive is helping reunite families with their displaced pets. You can help support them with an online donation or by delivering pet supplies to 2102 Memorial Blvd., Kerrville, TX.

Austin Pets Alive!

Austin Pets Alive has been helping with search, rescue and reunification efforts.

They have helped some of the local animal shelters by hosting some of the animals in their shelter in Austin, so the local shelters have more room for those to be found and rescued.

After bringing at least 400 animals into their shelter, Austin Pets Alive is closing their on-site efforts in Kerrville, but will continue to help them remotely.

They are now shifting their aid to San Saba, TX which was also heavily impacted by the flood.

Austin Pets Alive expresses their top need is monetary donations so they can help these local communities. You can make donations and check their daily progress on their website.

Numerous other organizations are supporting the flood recovery efforts. No matter which you choose, it is important for us to stand with our fellow Texans during this time as they recover from this tragedy.

Every donation or act of support will make a difference.
