“Lore Dump” is a podcast ideal for gamers.

Friends Chase, Monty and Neil take turns leading each other through video game plots. Since 2021, they have released episodes almost monthly, navigating the plots of “Metal Gear,” “Red Dead Redemption,” “Yakuza” and many more.

The latest episode covers “Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe.” With “Mortal Kombat 2” hitting theaters in October, the podcast offers a casual introduction to the source material.

It is an easy listen. The trio shares plot points, twists and general thoughts on each story for about an hour, making it ideal for those who don’t have time to play through the games themselves.

The three hosts bounce dialogue and humor off one another, offering humorous tangents and anecdotes. Some games are handled in one episode while others are split into several, more digestible parts.

This week’s “Pod Break” recommendation, “Lore Dump,” can be found on both YouTube and Spotify. If you’re in the mood for some video game lore, check it out.

In the meantime, get ready for the final Pod Break.
