The fall season is officially here and so are the pumpkins! With the arrival of autumn, it’s now time to drink iced pumpkin chai or walk along paths of nicely adorned pumpkins. Luckily, Houston has a variety of pumpkin themed sites for you to visit.

Keep on reading to learn where you can go to fall into the festive season! 

Houston Pumpkin Festival 

From Sept. 20 through Oct. 27, Discovery Green will be transformed into a beautiful vision of autumn fun. Located on 1500 Mckinney Street, the well-known park will feature a pumpkin boasting over 2,000 square feet, crystal kayaks and a corn pit. On weekdays, the event runs from 3 p.m. through 10 p.m. while on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the event runs from 10 a.m. through 10 p.m. Tickets are available here

The Houston Farmer’s Market

Announced on their Instagram, the Houston Farmer’s Market will be hosting a pumpkin patch open on weekends from Sept. 28 through Oct. 27. This event is free to all attendees, and pumpkins will be available to purchase from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The farmer’s market will also have photo ops and over 40 vendors for people to shop at. 

Dewberry Farm

One of the most popular events of the year, Dewberry Farm will be celebrating 75 years of Peanuts through their themed Fall Festival. 

With over 40 rides and attractions, you can tag along with your friends to paint pumpkins, get lost in the 8-acre corn maze and meet some barn animals. There are also several opportunities to take cute pictures for the gram you wouldn’t want to miss. You can buy tickets here

Froberg’s Farm

From Sept. 21 through Nov. 3, Froberg’s Farm will host their annual Corn Maze and the Fall Festival. Depending if you’re going on a weekday or during the weekend, there are different attractions available for people to enjoy.

Attractions  include duck races, pig races, a tractor-based rollercoaster and a chance to pick flowers after you complete the corn maze. There will also be an Apple Blaster where you can have fun cannon-shooting apples at moving targets. Tickets can be bought here

With several different attractions at each festival and event, there is surely something you’ll be excited to try out with your family and friends this October. If you’ve never gone to a fall festival, corn maze or a pumpkin patch, make this the year you do!
