As we say goodbye to summer and get ready to head back to school, it is important to maintain a summer-esque curiosity. Cooglife’s final “Pod Break” recommendation, “Search Engine,” may inspire this.

“Search Engine” is a podcast about asking questions and searching for answers.

Every episode, host PJ Vogt shares a common or niche question submitted by listeners, then proceeds to investigate it. These questions range from the complex layers of the housing crisis to why mentioning “Dave & Busters” glitched iPhone voice memos.

On this show, no question is too large or small to be considered.

Vogt’s many quests for knowledge lead him to dig up century-old records, sit down with experts and question French yogurt producers.

He follows every thread to draw a line from the question to the answer, taking listeners through the process.

The show began in 2023 and has since then released more than 100 episodes.

Production has recently shifted to releasing at least two new episodes every month, with classic episode reruns to bide the time between. Each episode lasts about an hour.

“Search Engine” can be found on Apple Podcasts and Spotify, as well as the ”Search Engine” website.

Their website has access to their ad-free, premium releases and a direct link to submit questions for future episodes.

They also feature a favorite episode list on Spotify for those looking for a good place to start. The previously mentioned Dave & Busters episode has been listed as one of Spotify’s best episodes of 2025 (so far).

Check it out over the next couple of weeks. Then, we’ll see y’all back on campus!
