Christian artist Forrest Frank delivered a high energy performance to a sold-out crowd at NRG Stadium on Sunday, Mar. 8, 2026.
Before Frank took the stage, a video of his grandfather, Houston meteorologist Dr. Neil Frank appeared on screen.
The video displayed Dr.Frank speaking at the 1985 Billy Graham Crusade.
He discussed a question for modern America: “is there a God, and if there is, what must I do to be related to Him?”
Frank often displays videos of his grandfather at concerts and audio recordings of his voice in his songs.
His grandfather passed away in December 2025 and continues to be a strong influence in his music.
When Frank took the stage, instead of introducing himself, he stated that the only name that matters is Jesus Christ.
“Tonight, we’re giving him all the glory and all the praise,” said Frank. Before starting his performance, he prayed with the crowd, giving gratitude, praise and glory to God.
The crowd sang along with him in his opening song, “Amen.”

Frank’s set list included “No Longer Bound (I’m Free),” “Up,” “Ups and Downs,” “Safe and Sound,” “Good Day,” “Always,” “Hallelujah,” “Lift My Hands” and “Your Way’s Better.”
The Fulshear native delivered an energetic and intimate performance, describing the rodeo as “super special”.
Seats were filled with people of all ages, and families on their feet dancing with their arms raised. The crowd sang along to every song.
During his performance, Frank took time to talk to the audience.
He speaks about how God found him when he was lost and depressed, and reaches the audience by talking about specific issues they may go through.
He discusses various personal struggles including pornography, self-esteem and body image.
As the night progresses, Frank further explains how God goes after the lost and brokenhearted because he loves them.
Before starting his last song Frank asks those in the crowd who are believers to pray for those who are non-believers who are on their last leg.
He tells those who are struggling and feeling alone that God wants a relationship with them and suggests that they follow Jesus.
This was Frank’s first performance at the rodeo and is their largest audience so far with 70,770 seats filled.
Frank released his first album “Child of God” on July 26, 2024. The album remained at number one on the Billboard Christian Albums chart for 35 consecutive weeks.
He has also won multiple GMA Dove Awards for artist of the year, album of the year, pop/contemporary recorded song of the year, new artist of the year and received multiple nominations including songwriter of the year.
Following his sold-out Child of God II tour, Frank is currently on tour with Tori Kelly, Cory Asbury and The Figs for The Jesus Generation tour.
