Benito, better known to the world as Bad Bunny, brought his “Most Wanted” tour to Houston’s Toyota Center for a double dose of excitement, delivering back-to-back shows on April 30 and May 1. Fans streamed into the venue, each receiving a commemorative light-up cowboy boot lanyard that pulsed in sync with the show’s dazzling light displays.

The energy crackled from the opening notes as Benito, adorned in a headscarf, took center stage solo for a hauntingly beautiful rendition of “Nadie Sabe,” accompanied by a chamber orchestra positioned dramatically on the opposite stage. This innovative two-stage setup kept the crowd guessing throughout the night, with the 19-member backup dancer crew later joining the party for a high-octane performance.

The chamber orchestra didn’t just stay put; for “Mr. October,” some members ventured into the crowd, creating an unforgettable immersive experience. A short intermission led to the second act’s grand entrance. Bad Bunny made a show-stopping return, riding in on a majestic horse to perform “Telefono Nuevo” on the second stage, complete with explosive pyrotechnics.

The stagecraft continued to impress as a massive bridge descended from the ceiling for a medley of fan favorites like “Diles,” “Chambea” and “Vuelve Candy.”

But the true crowd-pleaser was the bridge’s unexpected rotation during “Thunder y Lightning.” Bathed in lasers and strobes, Bad Bunny traversed the bridge’s length, mimicking lightning strikes as the crowd roared with approval. His appreciation for his fans was evident as he took several minutes after the song, acknowledging every section of the arena, from the nosebleeds down to the floor, clapping his hands in gratitude.

The excitement didn’t stop there. Grupo Frontera’s surprise guest appearance for “un x100to” sent the crowd into a frenzy, voices united in song. For his emotional closer, “Where She Goes,” confetti rained down on the crowd as Benito expressed his thanks for the electric atmosphere.

Houston got a taste of the “Most Wanted” magic, and with one more performance on May 1, the city is sure to be buzzing with excitement until the very last beat drops.
