As students, studying takes up most of our time–or at least it should take up some. Either way, here is a list of some of the most popular student study spots inside the loop.

Agora

Agora is a very popular place, with difficult parking. However, people say the atmosphere is great for studying.  Located on Westheimer in the Montrose area, this cafe is certainly busy; however, it stays open late. This late opening provides a great study spot option for night owls.

Brass Tacks

Only 10 minutes from UH, Brass Tacks is known for its delicious food and drinks. It is on the expensive side, so keep this in mind.

However, reviewers say the cafe is popular for people to study in. The ambiance is said to make for a great experience.

Slowpokes

With multiple locations all over the west side of Houston, Slowpokes was made to study in. These ideal study spots are clean, and the ambiance is usually quiet–apart from the house music playing in the background.

The coffee pricing is affordable, and their breakfast is worth trying too!

Segundo Coffee Lab

Located east of Downtown, it only takes about 10 minutes to get here from UH.

Segundo is a Mexican-style cafe, serving breakfast tacos as well as empanadas. Reviewers say the ambiance is very relaxing and great for getting work done. They also say the coffee is delicious and the food is good quality.

The semester might’ve just started, but it’s never too early to choose a ‘usual’ study spot and lock in.
