Brooklyn-based rock band Geese brought their signature chaos and charisma to White Oak Music Hall on Nov. 6, lighting up Houston with a night full of energy and emotion. Touring in support of their new album “Getting Killed,” the band led by frontman Cameron Winters delivered a set that was both unpredictable and electrifying.
The show opened with Dove Ellis, a songwriter and performer from the West of Ireland.
His music blended tender lyrics with a mix of styles, creating a sound that felt personal and refreshing.
Ellis recently released his debut single “To the Sandals” and is supporting Geese on a leg of their U.S. tour this fall. His performance was heartfelt and engaging, earning warm applause from the Houston crowd.
When Geese hit the stage, the atmosphere completely shifted.
They opened with “Husbands” before diving into “Cobra” and “Getting Killed,” the title track from their new record.
Winters’ stage presence was magnetic, shouting and commanding the crowd’s attention with every lyric. His voice was especially striking live, gritty, soulful, and full of emotion, making every word feel like it carried extra weight.
Midway through the set, the band performed “100 Horses,” which Houston served as a muse for, according to Winters. The crowd erupted at the mention, and from there, the energy only grew stronger with songs like “Half Real” and “2122.”
At one point, crowd surfers started moving through the pit, adding to the chaotic, electric atmosphere that Geese thrive on.
Fan favorites “Undoer,” “Cowboy Nudes” and “Au Pays du Cocaine” kept the crowd moving, while “Taxes,” listed as “Texas” on the printed setlist, earned a big reaction from the locals. Before the final song, Winters thanked the audience and gave a special shout-out to fans who had been at their last Houston show, leading into “Long Island City Here I Come.”
For the encore, Geese returned to the stage for “Domoto” and “Trinidad,” ending the night with a rush of sound and emotion that left the crowd cheering for more.
With “Getting Killed,” Geese continues to push their sound forward while keeping the raw intensity that makes their live shows unforgettable. Between the crowd surfing, Cameron Winters’ unique voice and the band’s chemistry, their Houston stop at White Oak Music Hall proved that they are not just growing, they are soaring.
