The Scarborough Renaissance Festival in Waxahachie, Texas has returned for its 45th season. The festival is a recreation of a 16th century English village, bridging real history with fairy-tale and fantasy elements.
The festival features various outdoor activities such as jousting, fire shows and live music performances. Some exciting new attractions include the New Joust Arena, The King’s Dungeon, Scarborough Castle: Hauntings of Yore and a special engagement from viral performer Jacques Ze Whipper.
“The renaissance festival is beautifully immersive. There’s always entertainment to stop at as you explore the vast map; whether it’s a band, a comedy show, magic or any other performance, it has its own place at the renaissance festival,” states Brittany Mkparu, festival attendee.
