If you’re feeling tense with pent-up stress, then you might want to scream your heart out at one of these top five karaoke bars.
College students experience a huge amount of stress, especially during the midterms and finals weeks.
Between classes, work and doom scrolling, you deserve some time to relax and let loose. Karaoke may be just what you need.
Singing can be a stress reliever and an immune system booster. Also, there’s no need for perfect singing. Fun is a requirement, though.
Whether you choose to go solo or release some oxytocin with a duet, here are five karaoke bars to choose from.
1. D&W Lounge
Never judge a book by its cover—a phrase that should be hung on the doors of this dive bar.
Inside this bar is filled with unique décor. The decor should feel out of place but somehow fit the “I SPY” bar.
The bar hosts their karaoke nights on Saturdays.
2. Glitter Karaoke
This option has a main stage for people who want to sing with a crowd or private rooms for reservations with friends and family—or by yourself.
The environment is upbeat. The food is comforting, and the drinks are great.
3. Nightingale Karaoke Bar
Originally known as Spotlight Karaoke, this is a 21-and-older bar. Remember to bring your ID.
The bar has a stage for singing as well as reservable private rooms.
4. Neil’s Bahr
This retro, gamer-themed dive bar is like a time capsule.
While here, guests can also check out the ping-pong table, comic books, arcade games, board games and classic consoles such as the Nintendo 64.
Karaoke nights are on Wednesdays.
5. Black Magic Social Club
This evil little bar is an alt kids’ dream. It features Gothic and occult décor with a wall of skulls and a dark ambiance.
The vibe is the chilliest.
