Country music star Chris Stapleton took the stage at RODEOHOUSTON® on Mar. 12, 2026, at NRG Stadium as part of the 2026 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo concert lineup.
Stapleton performed on the iconic star-shaped stage, opening with “Bad As I Used to Be.”
His band featured Mickey Raphael, a legendary harmonica player known for playing with Willie Nelson. Stapleton’s wife, Morgane Stapleton also sang alongside him playing her tambourine.
Stapleton dressed in his famous cowboy hat with bird feathers and a turquoise stone in the middle.
Songs including “Nobody To Blame,” “Millionaire” and “Parachute” had the crowd singing in harmony.
Conversely, “It Takes a Woman” and “Think I’m in Love With You” shifted the tone of the concert to a more romantic mood.
Stapleton and his wife sang to each other as if no one else was watching in the NRG Stadium filled with over 70,000 people.

The crowd became ecstatic when “White Horse” and “Broken Halos” began to play.
The stadium had a serene atmosphere, perfect for a country night.
The crowd echoed as Stapleton ended the night with his classic hit “Tennessee Whiskey.”
It was an unforgettable night in Houston.
