Students are starting to feel a chill in the air and a shiver down their spine. Not only because midterms are about to start, but because we are around the corner from the most frightening day of the year. As we get closer to Halloween, it becomes more common to see scary movies, carved pumpkins, and people buying pumpkin spice lattes. As many would say, “spooky season is here,” and what better way to celebrate than to go to a haunted house. We seek to be scared this time of year and expect nothing less. Here are just a few places around Houston that take pride in bringing a scream to our community.

Phobia offers five main haunted houses plus three separate areas known as Exile. Each of the houses has a different theme.
