On August 17, the Smart Financial Centre was alive with the sounds of Wallows as they brought their highly anticipated “Model” tour to Houston. The band delivered a dynamic performance that kept the crowd enthralled from start to finish.

Kicking off the night, was opener Benee. After, Wallows started with “Do Not Wait,” where the tone was set for an evening filled with infectious energy. The stage was bathed in vibrant lights that pulsed to the beat, enhancing the electric atmosphere. Fans were quick to join in, singing along to the upbeat “Scrawny,” a track that has become a live staple for the band.

One of the night’s standout moments came during “Pictures of Girls,” when the crowd’s energy peaked, turning the venue into a sea of swaying bodies and echoing voices. The transition to “1980s Horror Film” was seamless, with the audience fully immersed in the nostalgic vibes of the track.

The band also showcased their latest material with “Calling After Me” and “Only Ecstasy,” both of which were met with roaring approval from the audience. Dylan Minnette’s heartfelt interaction with the crowd added a personal touch, making the large venue feel like an intimate gathering of close friends.

Closing the main set with the fan-favorite “Are You Bored Yet?,” Wallows left the stage briefly before returning for an encore that included the emotional “Remember When” and the crowd-pleaser “I Don’t Want to Talk.” The energy in the room was palpable, with fans refusing to let the night end.

Wallows’ “Model” tour is more than just a series of concerts—it’s a full-blown experience. With their infectious energy, dynamic stage presence, and a setlist that perfectly blends new tracks with old favorites, Wallows once again proved why they’re one of the most exciting acts in indie rock today.
