When people think of makeup and skincare they may check to see if the product they are buying is cruelty free, but whether or not it is vegan is the newest question.

To help answer this question I decided to make a list of some of my favorite vegan skincare products. These brands have many values in common. First, they strive to create naturally derived cruelty-free products. Second, they want consumers to feel safe while using them, and lastly, aim to reduce environmental waste.

Love, Beauty, and Planet Beloved Grapefruit & Red Ginger Body Scrub

Exfoliating is a good lifestyle hack to add to your skincare routine. It helps remove dead and dry skin cells and gives your body a nice glow!

I like to use this body scrub because it’s gentle on the skin while also getting the job done; it smells pretty awesome too. Take care of your skin, and your skin will take care of you.

This body scrub is free of parabens and sulfates. Love, Beauty, and Planet also use 100% recycled bottles as their packaging.

Hello Activated Charcoal Toothpaste

The “Hello” brand is by far my favorite vegan toothpaste. Who doesn’t want a pearly white smile? For me, I noticed a considerable difference after using this toothpaste for the first time. I use this about three times a day, and the results are worth it!

This activated charcoal toothpaste is also free of artificial sweeteners, flavors, and dyes.

Hey Humans Lavender Vanilla Deodorant & Banana Aloe Lotion

Co-founder and creative director of “Hey Humans,” Jada Picknett Smith, is also changing the game with her hygiene and skincare line. “Leading the mission to be plastic-free and affordable to all,” as the site mentions.

Their Lavender and Vanilla Deodorant smells incredible, and for me, it stays on throughout the day. Finding the perfect deodorant can be a hassle, but this one is on the top of my list of deodorants to try.

The Banana Aloe Lotion is also a treat, and I love to pair it with the body wash. In addition, this lotion is very light and doesn’t leave a greasy residue after applying to the skin.

Schmidt’s Charcoal+ Magnesium Deodorant

Yes, I’m back at it again with the charcoal! A weird combo, I know, but this deodorant works. A little goes a long way when using this; apply two thin layers.

Some things are “natural-ish,” but Schmidt’s mission is to produce authentic products for people. A mineral-enriched deodorant, Schmidt’s is the first only natural deodorant in the U.S. to be “Certified Natural” by leading global certifier Ecocert.

Koils by Nature Nourishing Hair & Body Butter

This product is a win! I love that it’s multi-purposeful. I use it for my hair and my skin, and it’s deeply nourishing. Less is more with this product as well. For best use, I like to apply after a shower!

Some interesting facts about this brand? Koils founder and CEO Pamela J. Booker started her company with a vision of living a healthier lifestyle herself. The common objective being: to implement authentic, organic, and natural ingredients into hair care.
