Nearly 50 years after the original 1977 Women’s Conference, another convention by and for women (and those affected by misogyny and sexism) is being held in the same city where its historic predecessor held its gathering, from August 12th-14th at the George R. Brown Convention Center.

From Sep. 14 to Sep. 16, a brand new comic convention made its home at the NRG Center. The convention, entitled the Fandemic Tour, began at 3 p.m. on Friday and featured a large show room of various comic stands, collector booths, etc. But the most important part of the convention was all of the guest who attended....
